PA Interstate Licensure Compact Passed the House Health & Human Services Committee!
Great news! The PA Interstate Licensure Compact passed in the House Health & Human Services committee April 2nd with a vote in favor of 12-0. All legislators voted in favor of the bill! Listen to the committee testimony here! Testimony for SB24-18 starts at 2:50:02 PM. The next step is the House Finance Committee. We are getting closer to passing this legislation. The PA Compact is an optional agreement between states that allows PAs with a license in a compact state to more easily become licensed in any other member state.
The compact will reduce time and cost burdens for PAs who need interstate licenses, like those who practice across state lines or in telemedicine. The compact will expand employment opportunities for PAs in new markets and increase access to care for our patients. Check out the Bill Fact Sheet!
